Clairo AI faced a fundamental positioning challenge in a crowded AI market where accessibility, privacy, and sustainability are often afterthoughts. Despite building genuinely revolutionary technology – a human-centred platform that keeps data completely private whilst running on 100% renewable energy from Iceland’s geothermal sources – they struggled to communicate their unique value to non-technical business leaders who needed enterprise-grade AI without the complexity

Through brand core development, we identified that Clairo’s true differentiation was their commitment to “responsible AI” – encompassing trustworthiness, privacy, sustainability, and education. Forward-thinking businesses wanted AI that was simple to implement yet aligned with corporate values around data protection and environmental responsibility. Clairo could own the accessible, ethical AI space.

Solution

We positioned Clairo around “quiet confidence” and human-centred technology. The creative breakthrough came through signature orange silhouettes – AI agents seamlessly integrated into work environments. These distinctive figures appear in collaborative scenes, handling mundane tasks whilst humans focus on creative, strategic work. This visual metaphor captured Clairo’s philosophy: AI should be invisible in operation yet powerful enough to free minds for meaningful progress.
